AP tests/exams are considered as college/university level exams while the students are in actually at the high school. Advanced Placement Program (AP) is actually a rigorous academic program that gives, motivated students the opportunity to pursue university-level studies while still they are in secondary/high school.
The college Board is the maker and authority to manage this test. AP can only be taken when the students are still under age 21 years and have not started college.
AP helps the students to receive merit based financial aid and sometimes helps to save time & money in college curriculum.
AP exam happens only one time in a year and that is during a two-week period in the month of May.
